Safeguarding Workshop - For All Parish Volunteers and interested Parishioners

Commencing at 10 AM, for registration and refreshments, this Safeguarding Workshop is for all parish personnel, current parish volunteers and those planning to volunteer. Completion of this workshop also meets the Archdiocese’s requirement of the on-line Safeguarding Training.

This Safeguarding Workshop is intended to provide not only foundational knowledge about safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable persons from abuse and harm but also the latest updates and new required processes. It will also help to have a clear understanding of our duty of care and expectations.

All interested parishioners, including parents/carers, who have a keen interest in the safety of children, young people and vulnerable persons are welcome to attend.

The Safeguarding Workshop will be conducted by Rosemary Teed from the Professional Standards Unit (PSU) of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.

This workshop is mandatory for all current volunteers. If you are unable to attend this session, you will need to complete the training online in your own time and provide us with proof of completion.
